Here is a fantastic and rare, all original Omega Seamaster Automatic Chronometer “Jaques Mayol” Limited Edition from 1997. The two-tone dial is in very fine condition, with a navy blue chapter ring surrounding a navy blue center with light blue dolphins, in memory of the “Dolphin man” Jaques Mayol.  The dial has curved steel chevron hour markers with lume dots at the outer ends.  The skeleton sword hands with lume at the tips are in very fine condition. The white framed window at 3 o’clock displays the quick-set date. The quick-change function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The wide bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear. The stainless steel case with the original crown and beautifully curved bombe lugs reminiscent of the Speedmaster, is in fine condition with light overall wear, most prominent at the outside of the upper left lug. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a crisp and clean hippocampus logo and a distinct wave pattern. It has an engraving showing the watch is part of a limited edition.

The original steel bracelet is in very fine condition with little stretching, showing just a few wear marks. It is big enough for moderately large wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 1109 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in April 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
