Here is a wonderful and rare, all original Omega Seamaster Chronometer from 1969. The silver sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with a steel Omega logo and faceted steel hour markers with black contrast, double at 12 o’clock. There are a couple of tiny marks at around the 6 o’clock hour marker and a few other tiny marks scattered around the dial, not really visible to the naked eye. The dauphine hands with the original black contrast are in very fine condition. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition apart from a couple of notable nicks at around 1-2 o’clock and smaller ones at around 7 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and long, heavy lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, mostly towards the lugs. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a well preserved hippocampus logo in its center and some overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The stainless steel bead of rice bracelet is in fine visual condition with some stretching and overall wear, most notably on the double fold clasp. It is big enough for moderately large wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Omega’s perhaps best movement ever, the 564, beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in September 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

Chronometer versions of the Seamaster are rare, when in this condition with the original bracelet it is a real find. This is a watch that will fit into any vintage collection while also being a watch that can be worn as part of a regular rotation schedule.
