Here is a stunning and rare, all original Omega Seamaster Chronometer from 1972. The silver sunburst dial is in excellent condition, with a steel Omega logo and faceted steel hour markers with black contrast, double at 12 o’clock. The baton hands are in very fine condition with the original black contrast. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock shows the quick-set date. The quick-change function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The wide and imposing stainless steel bezel is in very fine condition with only light overall wear. The stainless steel case with the original crown and heavy lugs is in very fine condition, with a polished face and brushed sides. It has just a few marks both at the lugs on both case sides. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a well preserved hippocampus logo in its center and couple of notable scratch. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The original bead of rice bracelet is in very fine condition, showing light stretching and just a few marks. It is big enough for moderately large wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 1011 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in November 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

We do not come across Chronometer versions of the Seamaster that often, and the excellent unpolished condition of this watch makes it look fabulous on the wrist. This is truly a watch you will love having on your wrist.
