Here is a wonderful, all original Omega Seamaster 30 from 1963. The silver sunburst dial has taken on a gentle and even patina and is in very fine condition. It has a steel Omega logo and faceted steel bar hour markers, double at 12 o’clock. The hour markers at the poles have black onyx inlay. There is a scatter of tiny corrosion bubbles around the dial, perhaps most notable at around the 5 o’clock hour marker. The baton hands are in good condition, with some discoloration and marks visible under close inspection.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most prominent at around 7 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and faceted batman lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, most pronounced at the lugs and on the right case side around the crown. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a crisp and clean hippocampus medallion and some overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Omega’s fantastic 286 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in February 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The Seamaster 30 was named for the size of its movement, not for water resistance depth as is often thought. The movement is relatively large in size and correspondingly made the watch quite large for its time. Combined with the slim profile, this watch sits very snugly on the wrist.
