Here is a wonderful, fully original Omega Constellation Chronometer from 1963 in a large size for the era. The crosshair silver sunburst Pie Pan dial is in very fine condition, with a golden Omega logo, emblem, and Constellation star and just a few small marks. It has faceted steel bar hour markers with black contrast, double markers at 12 o’clock. The golden dauphine hands are in very fine condition, with the black contrast intact. The golden framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 21:00 and then forward through midnight again. Repeat as necessary.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most pronounced at around 11 o’clock. The stainless steel case with sharply beveled angular lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, both at the lugs and the case sides. The perhaps most notable wear is at the inside of the lugs. The original crown is partially embedded in the case, making it a bit less convenient to wind by hand, but when the watch is worn regularly the automatic winding takes care of that. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition with a well preserved steel Geneva observatory medallion and a few scratches and marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on the original Omega bead of rice bracelet. It is in fine visual condition with some overall wear in particular at the lower band as well as some stretching. It is big enough for moderately large wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 561 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in May 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
