Here is a fabulous and rare, all original Omega Constellation Chronometer from 1973 made especially for the Japanese market. The two tone dial is in very fine condition. The inner sunburst dial has a steel Omega logo and emblem and the slightly darker silver chapter ring has faceted steel hour markers with black contrast, double at 12 o’clock. Under magnification, a couple of tiny spots can be seen just below the center of the dial. The dauphine hands are in very fine condition, with the black contrast intact. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the quick-set date. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The stainless steel bezel is in very fine condition with only light overall wear. The stainless steel case with the original crown and dog leg lugs is in very fine condition, with only light overall wear. The radially brushed stainless steel case back has a crisp and clean Geneva observatory medallion and is in very fine condition with just a few marks of wear. The case has been refinished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality with the original Omega buckle in fine condition.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 1011 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in March 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

This was the last Constellation model with dog leg lugs and it is one of the very rarest, being sold new only in Japan. It looks great on the wrist with its fabulous dial and fine overall condition and is a watch you will love to wear and own while it grows nicely in value over the years.
