Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Constellation Chronometer from 1966 in a very large size for the era. The brushed silver dial is in very fine condition, with a steel Omega logo, emblem and Constellation star and barely any marks. At the poles are beautifully shaped steel arrow tail with black onyx inlay and in between are faceted steel hour markers also with black onyx inlay. The dauphine hands with the original black contrast are in fine condition with a few marks of wear. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 20:30 and then forward through midnight again. Repeat as necessary.

The stainless steel bezel is in overall fine condition apart from a few scuff marks at around 5 o’clock. The jumbo sized stainless steel case with the original crown and lovely teardrop lugs is in very fine condition with light overall wear both at the lugs and on the case sides. The stainless steel case back has a well preserved gold Geneva observatory medallion and is in fine condition with a few marks, in particular at around 12 o’clock in the photo. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality with the original Omega buckle in fine condition.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 561 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in May 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
