Here is a wonderful, all original Omega Constellation Chronometer from 1963 in a very large size for the era. The champagne sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with a golden Omega logo, emblem and Constellation star. It has faceted golden hour markers with black onyx inlay, double markers at 12 o’clock. There is a scatter of tiny corrosion spots around the dial, and a couple of other tiny marks close to the 12 and 2 o’clock hour markers. The golden dauphine hands with the original black contrast are in fine condition. The golden framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 21:00 and then forward through midnight again. Repeat as necessary.

The solid 14K gold bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most prominent at around 3 and 7 o’clock. The jumbo sized gold capped case with the original crown and lovely teardrop lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, most pronounced at the tips of the lugs, were the gold cap has been partially worn off. This looks more exaggerated in the photos than to the naked eye. The stainless steel case back has a well preserved gold Geneva observatory medallion and is in fine condition with a few noticeable scratches. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 561 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in March 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
