Here is a wonderful, all original Omega Constellation Chronometer from 1963 in a very large size for the era. The silver sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with a steel Omega logo, emblem, and Constellation star, and faceted steel hour markers with black onyx inlay, double at 12 o’clock. There is a scatter of tiny corrosion spots around the dial, none of which are really visible to the naked eye. The dauphine hands with the original black contrast are in good condition, with some corrosion visible. The cyclops in the original crystal displays the date at 3 o’clock, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 21:00 and then forward through midnight again. Repeat as necessary.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear and a couple of more noticeable marks such as at around 12, 3 and 11 o’clock. The jumbo sized stainless steel case with the original crown and lovely teardrop lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most pronounced at the lower left lug. The stainless steel case back has a somewhat worn gold Geneva observatory medallion and is in fine condition with a few marks and scratches. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 561 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in November 2023 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
