Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Genève Dynamic from 1971. The dual tone sunburst bulls eye dial is in excellent condition, with a white script Omega logo and lettering on the innermost navy blue dial. Surrounding the inner dial is a silver sunburst ring with white hour markers and in the navy chapter ring are yellow lume stripes for the hours and orange stripes for the minutes. There are a couple of tiny white marks towards the upper right quadrant of the dial and there is a small mark at the orange 39 minute marker. The wide black and white baton hands with the original lume intact are in very fine condition. The seconds hand is bright orange. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outer position. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The very wide, elliptic stainless steel case with the original crown and hidden lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most notable at the face along the edge at 2, 4 and 10 to 11 o’clock, but also with some marks on the case sides. The stainless steel back has a brushed surface with light wear and an inscription saying “Tool 107” and “Waterproof”. The locking ring has a sunburst pattern and there are some scratches around the notches from attempts at opening the case without the right tool. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The original stainless steel bracelet is in fine visual condition with light overall wear and some stretching. It is large enough for moderately big wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 565 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in October 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The Dynamic is an iconic watch in its own right, and this version looks great with the wonderful dial, very well preserved case and original bracelet. If you are looking for a vintage watch that makes a statement on the wrist, this one will serve you well for many years to come.
