Here is a wonderful and rare, all original Omega Genève from 1973 in a large size for the era. The silver sunburst dial is in excellent condition, with a black script Omega logo and black lettering and barely any marks. It has faceted steel bar hour markers with the original black contrast and lume dots at the outer ends, double markers at 12 o’clock. The baton hands are in very fine condition, with the original black contrast and lume intact. Slight degradation of the lume can be seen upon close scrutiny. The hack feature stops the seconds hand when setting the time, to allow accurate time setting. The black framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be quick-set with the crown pulled out into the middle position. This should only be done with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The large stainless steel case with the original crown and embedded lugs is in fine condition. It shows a few marks throughout both on the face and on the faceted polished sides. The brushed stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with an engraved Omega logo and some marks of wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 1012 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in May 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
