Here is a stunning and rare, all original Omega Constellation Pie Pan Chronometer from 1973 made especially for the Japanese market. The silver sunburst pie pan dial is in excellent condition, with a steel Omega logo and emblem and barely any marks. It has faceted steel hour markers with black contrast, twin markers at 12 o’clock. The dauphine hands with black contrast are in very fine condition. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the quick-set date. This function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The stainless steel bezel is in very fine condition with light overall wear, most notable at around 8 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and dog leg lugs is in fine condition, with some overall wear, mostly at the lugs. The radially brushed stainless steel case back has a crisp and clean Geneva observatory medallion and is in excellent condition. The case has been refinished.

The original Omega stainless steel bracelet is in very fine visual condition with little stretching and light overall wear. It is big enough for moderately large wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 1011 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in October 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

This was the last Constellation model with dog leg lugs and it is one of the very rarest, being sold only in Japan. It looks great on the wrist with its fabulous dial and fine overall condition and is a watch you will love to wear and own while it grows nicely in value over the years.
