Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Constellation from 1968. The silver crosshatch dial is in very fine condition, with a steel Omega logo, emblem, and Constellation star. It has wedge shaped hour markers with black contrast. There are a few small marks along the left edge of the dial, most notably around the 4 o’clock hour marker. The dauphine hands are in fine condition, with the original black contrast intact. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. Setting the date should always be done with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.
The stainless steel bezel has a subtle sunburst pattern and is in fine condition, with some overall wear, perhaps most notable at around 12 and 2 o’clock. The stainless steel case with slightly spread lugs and the original crown is in fine condition with some overall wear, mostly at the lugs. The stainless steel case back has a crisp and clean steel Geneva observatory medallion and is in fine condition with a scatter of small marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.
The original Omega bead of rice bracelet is in very fine visual condition, showing some stretching as is common with old bracelets. It is large enough for moderately big wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.
Inside the watch, Omega’s perhaps best movement ever, the 564, beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in February 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
Constellations are wonderful and timeless watches and this watch stands out with a very classy design and an unusual dial. This is a watch that looks great on the wrist and can be worn for most occasions.
Our watches are delivered in a luxury wooden watch box, fully serviced with a 12 month warranty that covers the mechanical functioning of the watch under normal use. We offer 14 days full return rights and are very proud of our reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction.
