Here is a fabulous, all original Omega “Meister” Pie Pan Constellation Chronometer from 1963 in a large size for the era. The crosshair silver sunburst Pie Pan dial has taken on a lovely and gentle patina through a scatter of tiny corrosion spots. It is in fine condition, with a steel Omega logo, emblem, and Constellation star. The dial has faceted steel bar hour markers with black onyx inlay, double at 12 o’clock. It is co-signed by Meister, a large Swiss jewelry store and manufacturer. The dauphine hands are in good condition with the original black contrast intact and a scatter of tiny corrosion spots. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 21:00 and then forward through midnight again. Repeat as necessary.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, most notably at around 4 and 6 o’clock. The stainless steel case with sharply beveled angular lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, mostly at the lugs and in particular the upper lugs. The original crown is partially embedded in the case, making it a bit less convenient to wind by hand, but when the watch is worn regularly the automatic winding takes care of that. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition with a well preserved steel Geneva observatory medallion and a few scratches and marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The original Omega bead of rice bracelet is in fine condition with some stretching and overall wear, most notable at the double fold clasp. It is large enough for big wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 561 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in March 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
