Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Constellation Chronometer from 1966 in an ultraslim and very rare version. The grey crosshatch dial is in excellent condition, with a white script Omega logo and emblem and star. It has flat steel hour markers with unusual burgundy contrast, double markers at 12 o’clock. There are a few spots around the dial, most notable at its center, but none of these are really visible to the naked eye. The black fils hands are in very fine condition.

The stainless steel bezel has a subtle sunburst finish and is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most notably around 6 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and batman lugs has a brushed face and brushed sides separated by a polished bevel and is in fine condition, with some wear mostly at the lugs but also at the sides. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition with a few notable scratches around the rim from attempts at opening the case without the proper tools or skills. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Omega’s 712 movement, the thinnest automatic movement Omega ever made, beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in November 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

This rare Constellation reference is a near perfect dress watch with its subtle elegance and classy design. It sits very snugly on the wrist with its ultra slim profile and is a watch that will certainly generate lots of compliments.
