Here is a wonderful and rare, all original Omega Constellation Chronometer from 1970. The brushed sliver dial is in excellent condition, with a steel Omega logo and emblem and barely any marks. It has chunky steel hour markers with black contrast, double at 12 o’clock. The black baton hands are in very fine condition. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the quick-set date. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The brushed stainless steel tonneau case with the original crown and hidden lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, mostly along the sharp edges of the case. The brushed stainless steel case back has a crisp and clean Geneva observatory medallion at the center and is in very fine condition with light overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality. 

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade caliber 1001 beats strongly and accurately to within about +8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in October 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

This unusual Constellation looks very stylish on the wrist with the tonneau case and classic design language. This is a great watch for those special occasions or for the office.
