Here is a fabulous, all original Longines Admiral Automatic from 1973. The silver sunburst dial is in excellent condition, with a steel Longines logo and five Admiral stars. It has railroad style hour markers with black contrast at the poles and steel strip hour markers with black contrast in between. The baton hands have the original black contrast and are in very fine condition with just a few marks visible. The window at 3 o’clock displays the weekday and date, of which the date can be quick-set by repeatedly pushing the crown in. This should only be done with the hands at the bottom half of the dial.
The stainless bezel is in good condition with some overall wear, perhaps most pronounced at around 12, 4 and 8-9 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and batman lugs is in fine condition, with a radially brushed face and polished sides. It shows some wear on the face towards the lugs and also some marks on both sides. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a few marks and scratches. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.
The original stainless steel bracelet is in fine visual condition with a few marks especially on the double fold clasp but shows stretching. It is large enough for big wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist, as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm by moving a spring bar in the clasp.
