Here is a wonderful, all original LeCoultre Memovox from 1957 in a very large size for the era. The two tone dial is in fine condition, looking much better in real life than in up close, high resolution pictures. The silver chapter ring has lume dots for the hours and black stripes for the minutes. Inside it is a silver ring with a ridged sunburst pattern, sporting golden numerals at the poles and faceted golden bars in between. There is some discoloration around the numerals and hour markers that look much less dramatic to the naked eye than in the pictures. Around the inner dial is a silver ring with the script LeCoultre logo at 12 o’clock and golden spheres for the hours and minutes. At 6 o’clock is the lettering “Automatic Alarm”. The inner silver dial with a radially brushed pattern has a lume filled arrow showing the alarm position and rotates for accurately setting the alarm with the top crown. The dial has some overall wear both on the inner and outer dials and also along the edge of the dial but looks absolutely wonderful on the wrist. The golden dauphine hands are in fine condition with the original lume intact. All the lume has largely degraded.

The alarm is set with the top crown. Winding the spring for the alarm is done by rotating the crown while fully depressed. By pulling the crown out one can rotate the inner dial to set the arrow at the desired alarm time. When the set time is reached the alarm buzzes loudly for about 15-20 seconds when fully wound. When the crown is in the outer position the alarm does not ring.

The 10k gold filled case with what seems to be replacement crowns is in fine condition, with wonderfully curled batman lugs and small marks of wear and age throughout both on the lugs and the sides. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition with a radially brushed finish, showing some scratches and marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

Inside the watch, LeCoultre’s high grade K815 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in June 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

This is a watch that looks absolutely stunning on the wrist with the unique dial and very large size. The Memovox is an iconic watch in its own right and this one is a great testament to why.
