Here is a wonderful, all original LeCoultre Memovox from 1963. The dial is in very fine condition, with an inner silver sunburst alarm dial and an outer sunburst chapter ring. The inner dial rotates to set the alarm time, indicated by a golden triangle with the word “Memovox” below it. The chapter ring has a golden LeCoultre logo at 12 o’clock and golden wedge shaped hour markers. There is a small mark at the edge of the dial at around 9 o’clock. The golden baton hands are in very fine condition.

The alarm is set with the top crown. Winding the spring for the alarm is done by rotating the crown while fully depressed. By pulling the crown out one can rotate the inner dial to set the arrow at the desired alarm time. When the set time is reached the alarm buzzes loudly for about 15-20 seconds when fully wound. When the crown is in the outer position the alarm does not ring.

The 10k gold filled case with the original crowns and slim straight lugs is fine condition, showing some overall wear both at the face, the lugs and the sides. The 10k gold filled case back is in fine condition, showing some wear in the shape of tiny dings and marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality. 

Inside the watch, LeCoultre’s high grade K814 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in December 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The Memovox is iconic for both its looks and its function and this one is a wonderful testament to that. It is very fun to watch people’s expressions when the alarm goes off and this is a true conversation starter!
