Here is a fabulous, all original King Seiko 56KS Hi-Beat Chronometer from 1974. The silver sunburst dial is in excellent condition, with steel Seiko and KS logos and barely any marks. It has steel strip hour markers with black contrast, double at 12 o’clock. The baton hands have the characteristic central black contrast stripe while the seconds hand is completely black. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the quick-set date. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most prominent at around 9 o’clock on the outside of the bezel. The stainless case with the original KS crown and embedded lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, mostly on the sloped sides towards the upper lugs. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a KS engraving and a few marks of age and wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality and the original Seiko buckle in fine condition.

Inside the watch, Seiko’s high grade 5625B movement ticks away at the then very high frequency of 28800 beats per hour, beating strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in October 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The wonderful overall condition makes this 56KS Chronometer a great watch to wear for nearly any occasion. It is a perfect daily driver and will fit nicely into any vintage collection.

Our watches are delivered in a luxury wooden watch box, fully serviced with a 12 month warranty that covers the mechanical functioning of the watch under normal use. We offer 14 days full return rights and are very proud of our reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction.
