Here is a fabulous and rare, all original King Seiko 56KS Hi-Beat Chronometer from 1973. The silver sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with steel Seiko and KS logos and steel strip hour markers with black contrast, double at 12 o’clock. There is a small discolored spot left of the KS emblem. The black hands are in very fine condition. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the quick-set weekday and date. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The stainless steel bezel is in very fine condition with only light overall wear. The stainless case with the original KS crown and heavy, faceted lugs is in very fine condition with only light overall wear. The stainless steel case back has the KS engraving and is in very fine condition with a few marks of wear. The case has been refinished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality with the original Seiko buckle in fine condition.

Inside the watch, Seiko’s high grade 5626B movement ticks away at the then very high frequency of 28800 beats per hour, beating strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in December 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
