Here is a fantastic, all original King Seiko KS56 Hi-Beat from 1970. The silver sunburst dial is in excellent condition, with golden Seiko and KS logos and golden railroad style hour markers with black contrast stripes, twin markers at 12 o’clock. The tapered golden hands are in very fine condition, with the characteristic black contrast stripe down the middle. The hack stops the seconds hand when the crown is pulled out to set the time, so the time can be set more accurately. The golden framed window at 3 o’clock shows the date, which can be quick-set with the crown pulled out to the middle position. The quick-set should only be done with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The gold capped bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear. The large gold capped cushion case with the original KS crown is in very fine condition, with a brushed finish and only light overall wear. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a well preserved gold KS medallion and only light overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality with an original Seiko buckle in fine condition.

Inside the watch, Seiko’s high grade, Hi-Beat 5625A movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in June 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
