Here is a stunning, all original King Seiko 56KS Hi-Beat from 1972. The blue sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with steel Seiko and KS logos and faceted black polished steel hour markers, wider marker at 12 o’clock. There are a few tiny marks around the dial and on some of the hour markers, none of which are really visible to the naked eye. The faceted and tapered baton hands are in very fine condition. The hack stops the seconds hand when the crown is pulled out to set the time, so the time can be set more accurately. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the quick-set date and weekday in Kanji and English. The quick-set should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The stainless steel bezel is in very fine condition with only light overall wear. The large cushion shaped case with the original KS crown and embedded lugs is in fine condition with light overall wear both on the sides and at the lugs. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a well preserved KS engraving and a few marks of wear.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality with the original KS buckle in fine condition.

Inside the watch, Seiko’s high grade, Hi-Beat 5626A movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in June 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
