Here is a wonderful, all original 1^st generation King Seiko from 1962. The silver sunburst dial is in fine condition, with a black script King Seiko logo and black lettering. It has wide and chunky faceted steel hour markers, double markers at 12 o’clock. There are a few marks around the dial, most notable at towards the o’clock hour marker but also along the rim of the dial such as at around 2 and 4 o’clock. The faceted dauphine hands are in very fine condition with a few marks visible under magnification.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most prominent at around 12 and 5 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and elegant, long lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most prominent at the upper right lug and between the lugs. The stainless steel case back has a well preserved KS shield medallion and is in fine condition with some overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Seiko’s high grade 44A-based King Seiko movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in August 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The first generation KS is not easy to find anymore and this lovely watch looks great on the wrist. It is a great daily driver or part of a regular rotation schedule.
