Here is a wonderful, all original King Seiko 1^st generation from 1963. The silver sunburst “Special Dial” is in fine condition, with a black script KS logo and lettering. It has faceted solid 14K gold bar hour markers, double at 12 o’clock. There are a few marks around the dial, such as at around the 1, 5 and 10 o’clock hour markers. The beveled dauphine hands are in fine condition with a few marks visible under close scrutiny.

The 14K gold filled bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most notable at around 3 and 9 o’clock. The 14K gold filled stainless steel case with long, elegant lugs and the original crown is in fine condition with some overall wear mostly at the lugs but also on the case sides. The 14K gold filled case back has a well preserved KS shield of the 1^st generation and is in very fine condition with light overall wear.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Seiko’s high grade King Seiko movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in October 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

We don’t see the 1^st generation KS too often, and the wonderful condition of this Special Dial model is very attractive to a vintage lover. With the outstanding engineering of the King Seiko series, this is a great watch for any occasion and collection.
