Here is a wonderful, all original Jaeger-LeCoultre dress watch from 1973. The blue dial is in fine condition, with a steel JLC logo and a steel chapter ring with Roman numerals. There is a scatter of small wear spots around the dial and some wear along the rim on both the left and right side of the dial. The baton hands are in very fine condition. Note that this watch does not have a seconds hand, in order to maintain a slim profile.

The stainless steel watch case with short lugs and the original crown is in fine condition with light overall wear both at the lugs and on the sides, most prominently at the outside of the upper left lug. The brushed stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a few marks of wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market bovine leather strap of good quality with the original stainless steel JLC buckle in fine condition.

Inside the watch, LeCoultre’s caliber 818/2 beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in June 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

This is one of those iconic looking watches JLC is known for, a true dress watch that looks very elegant and subtle on the wrist. It is a watch that goes well with most occasions and is a great daily driver.
