Here is a fantastic, all original LeCoultre Memovox from 1971. The two tone dial is in excellent condition. The outer golden sunburst dial has golden block hour markers with black contrast and the JLC script logo at 12 o’clock. On the inner edge is a red minute track with lume dots for the hours. The inner golden dial has a blue Memovox logo and a lume filled blue triangle indicating the set alarm time. It rotates when the upper crown is pulled out for setting the alarm. The black tapered baton hour and minute hands and blue seconds hand are in very fine condition. The golden framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by repeatedly turning the hands through midnight, then backwards through 22:00 and then through midnight again.

The alarm is set with the top crown. Winding the spring for the alarm is done by rotating the crown while fully depressed. By pulling the crown out one can rotate the inner dial to set the arrow at the desired alarm time. When the set time is reached the alarm buzzes loudly for about 15-20 seconds when fully wound. When the crown is in the outer position the alarm does not ring.

The 10K gold filled case is in fine condition, with slim lugs and the original crowns. There is light wear throughout, both on the face, the lugs and the sides, perhaps most prominent a couple of nicks along the edge of the face at around 9 and 10 o’clock. The 10K gold filled case back is in fine condition with a few scratches and marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

Inside the watch, LeCoultre’s exquisite 916 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +12 seconds per day at the at the time very high rate of 28800 bph, which is why the model got the name HPG. The watch was fully serviced in March 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.
