Here is a fabulous, all original IWC dress watch from 1971 in an unusual reference. The silver sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with the script IWC logo and steel bar hour markers, double markers at 12 o’clock. Under magnification, slight wear of the varnish can be seen on the left side of the dial between around 2 and 4 o’clock, and a couple of small marks around the 9 o’clock markers. The fils hands are in fine condition with slight wear visible under magnification.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, most notably a couple of nicks at around 12 o’clock. The ultra slim stainless steel case with the original crown and stub lugs is in fine condition, showing a few marks mostly at the outside of the lugs and the left case side. The stainless steel case back has a brushed finish and is in fine condition with a few marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market stainless steel bracelet of good quality.

Inside the watch, IWC’s superb 403 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in August 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
