Here is a fabulous and rare, all original IWC dress watch from 1962. The unusual silver pie pan dial with script IWC logo is in very fine condition, with faceted wedge hour markers, double at 12 o’clock. There is a mark just above the IWC logo and at the 11 o’clock hour marker, as well as some wear around the edge of the dial at around 4 o’clock. The faceted dauphine hands are in good condition, with some visible wear. At 3 o’clock, the cyclops window in the original plexiglass crystal displays the date, which is manually set by turning the hands through the 24 hours.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most notably at around 4, 6 and 12 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original fish crown and long, elegantly sloped lugs is in fine condition, with a polished face and brushed sides. It shows some overall wear, mostly at the lugs and in particular the lower lugs. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition with some overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, IWC’s high grade 8531 movement with the Pellaton winding system beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in December 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
