Here is a stunning, all original IWC dress watch from 1963. The silver sunburst dial is in excellent condition, with  script IWC logo and barely any marks. It has steel strip hour markers, triple at 12 o’clock and double at the other poles, with the characteristic steel spheres marking the minutes. The sword hands are in fine condition with some discoloration visible under magnification. At 3 o’clock, the steel framed window displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by moving the hands first through midnight so the date changes, then backwards to 23:45 and then through midnight again. Repeat as necessary.

The stainless steel bezel is in very fine condition with only light overall wear. The stainless steel case with wonderfully curved lugs and the original fish crown is in very fine condition, with only light overall wear, mostly at the lugs. The brushed stainless steel case back is in very fine condition apart from a few marks at the rim. The case has been refinished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, IWC’s superb 8541 movement with the Pellaton winding system beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in August 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
