Description

Here is a stunning, all original IWC dress watch from 1971 in an unusual reference. The silver sunburst dial is in excellent condition, with the script IWC logo and barely any marks. It has black painted Roman numeral hour markers. The black fils hands are in very fine condition.

The C-shape ultra slim stainless steel case with the original crown and long lugs has a brushed face and sides and is in very fine condition, showing only light overall wear mostly at the lugs. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition with just a few marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market stainless steel bracelet of good quality.

Inside the watch, IWC’s superb 403 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in June 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

Warranty

Your watch is covered by a worldwide limited warranty for 12 months from the date of delivery. This warranty covers the proper mechanical functioning of the watch under normal usage: that it keeps good time, that it winds properly, that the date changes as it should etc. Note that wearing the watch for sporting activities is not considered normal usage for a vintage watch.

The warranty does not cover external aspects of the watch, such as damage to the case or crystal, a lost crown, a broken strap etc.

The warranty is only valid for the buyer of the watch and does not extend to third parties.

The warranty is voided if the watch is opened by any party without our written consent.

If anything should happen to the watch within the first 30 days of delivery, we will cover your costs for shipping the watch to a repair location of up to 30 euros.

Delivery

We offer worldwide free shipping with FedEx. Your watch will be shipped to your chosen address and FedEx will manage the import process for you, including collecting import duties if any.

Returns

If you choose to return your watch, you are welcome to do so within 14 days of receiving your watch. Send an email to info@vintagewatchservices.eu or use our contact form and let us know that you want to return your watch. Make sure you reference your order number. The watch needs to be returned in the same packaging and in the same condition as you received it. Upon receipt of your returned watch in good order, your purchase amount will be fully reimbursed, less any credit card processing fees we might have incurred. These fees are typically around 3%.
