Here is a fabulous, all original IWC dress watch from 1971. The silver sunburst dial is in excellent condition, with barely any marks. It has the steel IWC block logo with the script logo underneath it and steel bar hour markers with black contrast, double at 12 o’clock. The steel baton hands show slight corrosion and are in fine condition, with central black contrast and the original lume intact. The hack stops the seconds hand when the crown is pulled out to time-setting mode, to facilitate more accurate time setting. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 23:45 and then forward through midnight again. Repeat as necessary.

The stainless steel case with the original fish crown and faceted heavy lugs is in very fine condition, with only light overall wear. It has a brushed face and brushed sides, showing only a few marks of wear. The case back is in fine condition, with a brushed center and a polished rim with only a few marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality with original IWC buckle in fine condition.

Inside the watch, IWC’s superb 8541B movement with the Pellaton winding system beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in November 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
