Here is a fabulous, all original solid gold IWC dress watch from 1960. The silver sunburst dial is in fine condition, with the script IWC logo and golden hour markers, ribbed markers at the poles and strip markers in between, all with lume dots at the outer ends. It has the characteristic spheres demarking the minutes. The golden dauphine hands are in very fine condition with the original lume intact.

The solid 14K yellow gold bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most pronounced at around 6 and 12 o’clock. The solid 14K yellow gold case with the original crown and elegantly curved drilled lugs is in fine condition with light overall wear. The case back is in fine condition, with a brushed center and a polished rim with some pitting marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, IWC’s superb 853 movement with the Pellaton winding system beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in June 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
