Here is a stunning, all original 1^st generation Grand Seiko from 1963. The silver dial is in excellent condition, with a golden Grand Seiko logos and barely any marks. It has faceted golden hour markers, wider marker at 12 o’clock. The faceted dauphine hands are in very fine condition. When the crown is pulled out to set time, the hack stops the seconds hand for more accurate time setting.

The 14K gold filled bezel is in fine condition with light overall wear, perhaps most notable a nick at around 9 o’clock. The 14K gold filled case with long, beautiful lugs and the original crown is in fine condition with light overall wear, mostly at the lugs but also with a few marks on the case sides. The 14K gold filled case back has a well preserved GS medallion and is in fine condition with some overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market stainless steel bracelet of good quality.

Inside the watch, Seiko’s high grade Seikosha movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in September 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The 1^st generation Grand Seiko is rare to find nowadays, especially in this condition. This is a real find for Seiko enthusiasts and will add to any vintage collection.
