Here is a gorgeous, all original Girard Perregaux Gyromatic High Frequency from 1976. The brushed blue dial is in very fine condition, with a steel GP logo and white lettering. It has faceted steel bar hour markers with lume dots at the outer ends. Upon close inspection, some wear can be seen around the GP logo and some of the hour markers. The baton hands show slight wear and are in fine condition, with the original lume intact. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the weekday and date. The date can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 21:00 and then forward through midnight again. Repeat as necessary. 

The C-shaped stainless steel case with the original crown and embedded lugs is in very fine condition with only light overall wear, mostly at the face towards the lugs. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with radially brushed finish and just a few marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality with the original buckle in fine condition.

Inside the watch, GP’s high grade 44.1 movement beats to the then insane rate of 36000 bph to about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in January 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
