Here is a fabulous and very rare, fully original Enicar Garnix chronograph from 1967. The charcoal dial is in fine condition, with a white Enicar logo and lettering and three subdials at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock, respectively displaying the minute counter, the hour counter and running seconds. The dial has steel block hour markers with white contrast and yellow lume dots at the inner ends. There are a few marks around the dial, perhaps most prominent at around the 5 o’clock hour marker. In the rehaut is a tachymeter scale. The baton hands are in fine condition, with the original lume intact. The chronograph seconds hand has a red tip.
The stainless steel case with the original crown and pushers and slightly spread lugs has sharp angles and polished bevels. It is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most notably a nick on the “bezel” at around 12 o’clock. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a crisp and clean Enicar “waterproof” medallion and some overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.
The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.
Inside the watch, the legendary Valjoux 72 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in March 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
The Garnix got its name from the complete lack of writing on the dial apart from the Enicar logo, “gar nix” meaning “nothing at all” in German. It’s a cool name for a very elegant watch and makes for an uncluttered design.
Our watches are delivered in a luxury wooden watch box, fully serviced with a 12 month warranty that covers the mechanical functioning of the watch under normal use. We offer 14 days full return rights and are very proud of our reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction.
