Here is a fantastic and very rare, fully original Enicar Garnix chronograph from 1967 in a very large size for the era. The black dial is in excellent condition, with a white Enicar logo and lettering and barely any marks. It has three subdials at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock, respectively displaying the minute counter, the hour counter and running seconds. The dial has steel block hour markers with white contrast and yellow lume dots at the inner ends. In the rehaut is a tachymeter scale. The white baton hands are in very fine condition, with the original lume intact. The chronograph seconds hand has a red tip.
The stainless steel case with the original crown and pushers and slightly spread lugs has sharp angles and polished bevels. It is in very fine condition with only light overall wear. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a crisp and clean Enicar “waterproof” medallion and just a few marks of wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.
The original Milanese stainless steel bracelet with a movable fold clasp is in very fine condition, with little stretching and light overall wear. It is big enough for large wrists.
Inside the watch, the legendary Valjoux 72 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in September 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
The Garnix got its name from the complete lack of writing on the dial apart from the Enicar logo, “gar nix” meaning “nothing at all” in German. It’s a cool name for a very elegant watch and makes for an uncluttered design.
Our watches are delivered in a luxury wooden watch box, fully serviced with a 12 month warranty that covers the mechanical functioning of the watch under normal use. We offer 14 days full return rights and are very proud of our reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction.
