Here is a fabulous Breitling Sprint from 1969. The reverse panda dial is in very fine condition, with a black center and sunken silver subdials. The 3 o’clock subdial shows the chronograph minute count and the 9 o’clock subdial shows the running seconds. The dial has rectangular lume filled hour markers at 12 and 6 o’clock and square lume filled hour markers in between. There are a couple of minor marks around the dial and the lume is somewhat degraded. The baton hands are in fine condition, with the black contrast and lume intact. The dial has a tachymeter scale around the edge.

The dual color stainless steel bezel rotates freely, with separate markings for hours and minute timings. The stainless steel case with the original crown and pushers and heavy lugs is in very fine condition, with only light overall wear. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition with a few marks and scratches. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on a rubber Tropic strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, the high grade Valjoux 7730 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in May 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The Sprint was originally marketed as a less complicated alternative to the Navitimer but quickly made a name for itself and is a beloved part of the Breitling family. The reverse panda dial on this watch makes it very attractive and this is a watch that will serve its next owner very well.
