Here is a fabulous, all original Audemars Piguet “AP Steel” dress watch from 1973. The black gloss dial is in very fine condition, with a steel AP logo at 12 o’clock and barely any marks. A slight slant can be seen between the wording on the dial as was not uncommon for AP in this uncertain time period. The watch has no hour markers, just white lettering at 6 o’clock. The fils hands are in very fine condition. Note that this watch does not have a seconds hand, in order to keep the profile ultra-slim. 

The ultra-slim octagonal stainless steel case with the original crown and hidden lugs has a polished bezel and brushed sides and is in fine condition. It shows light overall wear, perhaps most prominent on the bezel at around 12 o’clock. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition with a few marks and scratches. It carries the “AP Steel” engraving the model is sometimes named as.

The integrated fish scale stainless steel bracelet is in very fine condition with light overall wear. One of the links on the lower bracelet a couple of centimeters below the case is cracked. The bracelet is large enough for moderately big wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult.

Inside the watch, AP’s high grade 2120 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in February 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
