Here is a wonderful and rare, all original Tudor Ranger II from 1986 in a massive size for the era. The blue sunburst dial is in in fine condition, with a steel Tudor logo at 12 o’clock and white lettering. It has steel hour markers with lume stripes and lume dots in the rehaut at the outer ends. Upon close inspection, some degradation to the blue color can be seen around the lume dots. The baton hands are in fine condition with the original white contrast and lume intact, albeit degraded and with a tiny hole in the minute hand lume. When the crown is pulled out to set the time or date, the hack feature stops the seconds hand so the time can be set precisely. At 3 o’clock, the cyclops eye displays the quick-set date. This function should only be used with the hands at the bottom half of the dial.
The fluted stainless steel bezel is in very fine condition with only light overall wear. The stainless steel case has a radially brushed face and polished sides and is in very fine condition, with only a few marks of wear. The Rolex crown screws down as it should. The case back has the Oyster ridges and Rolex inscription, and is in fine condition with some overall wear. The case has been refinished.
The original stainless steel bracelet is in very fine visual condition with slight stretching. It is large enough for big wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.
Inside the watch, ETA’s high grade 2784 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in July 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
The Ranger II was the successor to the Ranger, which was a straightforward tool watch. The Ranger II beefed everything up quite a lot and is in many ways a departure from Tudor’s typically very restrained design language. This is a very cool and rare watch to wear and it’s a great conversation starter!
Our watches are delivered in a luxury wooden watch box, fully serviced with a 12 month warranty that covers the mechanical functioning of the watch under normal use. We offer 14 days full return rights and are very proud of our reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction.
