Here is a fabulous and very rare, all original Technos Sky Diver 500m from 1968 in a very large size for the era. The black dial is in very fine condition, with a steel Technos logo and white lettering. It has lume filled wedge shaped hour markers, larger markers at the poles. In the chapter ring are white stripes for the minutes. The wide baton hands are in fine condition with the original lume intact. All of the lume is intact but degraded. The seconds hand has an arrow shaped counterweight. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock shows the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 20:30 and then forward through midnight again. Repeat as necessary.

The rotatable stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, such as at around the numbers 10 and 14. The stainless case with the original screw-down crown and integrated lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, most notably at the outside of the upper lugs. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition with a well preserved Technos anchor logo at its center. The case does not appear to ever have been polished. Note that old diver’s watches are no longer suitable for diving!

The watch comes on an after market rubber strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, the ETA 2472 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in December 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The Sky Diver is perhaps Technos’ best known model, with its bold and rugged design providing reliably high performance. This is a watch that looks great on the wrist and it’s a perfect daily driver.
