Rolex/Tudor

Rolex was founded in London in 1905 by the German businessman Hans Wilsdorf and quickly became a major industry force through deft marketing and high quality watches. They have been based in Switzerland since 1920 and is today the top dog in the watch industry by far. Their most famous models include the Datejust, the Daytona, the Oyster Precision and the Submariner. 

Rolex' fully owned subsidiary Tudor was established soon after WW2 to compete at lower price points than Rolex watches but have in recent years made their mark with in-house movements and a clear own identity. Their most famous models include the Prince, Oysterdate and Tiger.
