Here is a spectacular, all original Rolex Oysterdate Precision from 1978 with the original papers. The black dial has a golden Rolex crown at 12 o’clock and barely any marks. It has faceted golden hour markers with lume dots at the outer ends, twin markers at 6 and 9 o’clock. The baton hands with the original lume are in fine condition, with some marks and degradation to the lume. At 3 o’clock, the Cyclops eye displays the manually set date.

The stainless steel bezel is in excellent condition with very few marks of wear. The stainless steel case has a radially brushed face and polished sides and is in excellent condition, with just a few marks, mostly towards the lugs. The original Rolex crown screws down as it should. The case back has the Oyster ridges and is in very fine condition with just a few marks. The case has been refinished.

The watch has the original Rolex buckle in very fine condition on an after market leather strap of good quality.

Inside the watch, Rolex’s high grade 1225 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in March 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

Manual winding Rolex’s are less common nowadays and this one is a real find with its stunning dial and excellent condition. This is a watch you will look forward to having the opportunity to wear and admire on your wrist.
