Here is a fabulous, all original Rolex Oyster Precision from 1972. The silver sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with the Rolex crown at 12 o’clock and faceted steel hour markers with lume dots at the outer ends, wider wedged markers at the poles. The baton hour and minute hands are in very fine condition, with the original lume intact but slightly degraded.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most pronounced at around 12 and 1 o’clock. The stainless steel case has a radially brushed face and brushed sides and is in fine condition, with a few small marks at both the lugs and the sides, perhaps most pronounced at the face of the lower lugs. The original Rolex crown screws down as it should. The case back has the Oyster ridges and is in fine condition with a scatter of marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The original Oyster bracelet is in fine condition, with some overall wear and stretching. It is large enough for moderately big wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Rolex’s high grade 1225 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in June 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
