Here is a fabulous, all original Rolex Cellini from 1973 in a very rare reference. The silver sunburst Sigma dial – meaning the hands and dial details are solid gold - is in very fine condition, with a white gold Rolex crown at 12 o’clock and white gold strip hour markers. There are a few small marks around the edge of the dial, such as at around 12, 2, 5 and 10 o’clock, none of which are really visible to the naked eye. The white gold hands are in very fine condition. Note that this reference does not have a seconds hand, in order to keep the profile very slim.

The cushion shaped solid 18K white gold case is in fine condition, with the original crown and slim stub lugs. It shows a few marks both on the sunburst face and on the sides. The solid 18K white gold case back is in fine condition with a Rolex crown and some overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished, which is very rare for a Rolex.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Rolex’s high grade 1600 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in September 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

This is one of those watches that will make the ones in the know do a double take, both for the Sigma dial and for the great condition. It is a watch that will get you lots of compliments and it is a great conversation starter.
