Here is a fantastic and rare, all original Omega Seamaster Soccer Chronograph from 1969. The white dial is in very fine condition, with a black script Omega logo and lettering and three red and black subdials. The 3 o’clock subdial shows the chronograph minute counter (highlighting 45 to keep track of half of a football match), the 6 o’clock subdial shows the chronograph hour counter and the 9 o’clock subdial shows the running seconds. The dial has black stripe hour markers, double at 12 o’clock, with lume squared at the outer ends inside the minute track. The inner bezel has a minute scale and can be rotated with the 10 o’clock crown. The baton hands are in very fine condition, the seconds hand being bright orange.

The stainless steel case with heavy lugs and the original crown and pushers is in very fine condition, with only light overall wear, perhaps most notable a tiny nick just above the top pusher. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a well preserved hippocampus engraving and some overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The original Omega stainless steel bracelet is in very fine visual condition with light stretching and a few marks of wear. It is large enough for moderately big wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving the spring bar in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Omega’s legendary 861 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in February 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The “Soccer” chronograph series were named after the 45 minute markings for the minute counter. With the Moonwatch caliber 861 inside, it is not only a very cool conversation starter, it is also a wonderful addition to any vintage collection.
