Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Seamaster pre-De Ville from 1962. The silver dial is in very fine condition, with a steel Omega logo and emblem. It has faceted steel bar hour markers with black onyx inlay, double at 12 o’clock. There is a scatter of tiny corrosion spots around the dial, none of which are really visible to the naked eye. The baton hands with the original black contrast are in fair condition with some corrosion which looks less prominent to the naked eye than in the up close photos.
The stainless steel bezel is in very fine condition with only light overall wear. The stainless steel case with the original crown and elegant straight lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, most notable at the lugs. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition with a crisp and clean hippocampus logo and the inscription “Waterproof”. It shows some marks and scratches.
The original bead of rice bracelet is in fine visual condition with some overall wear, perhaps most pronounced at the double fold clasp, and it shows some stretching. It is large enough for big wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 552 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in July 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
