Here is a wonderful, all original Omega Seamaster De Ville from 1965. The silver sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with a steel Omega logo and emblem. It has faceted steel hour markers with black onyx inlay, double markers at 12 o’clock. There are a few tiny marks scattered around the dial, slightly concentrated around its center, none of which are really visible to the naked eye. The baton hands are in good condition with the original lume intact and some corrosion. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 21:00 and then forward through midnight again. Repeat as necessary.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most notable at around 1 and 6 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and slightly spread lugs is in fine condition with light overall wear, mostly at the lugs. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a crisp and clean hippocampus logo and light overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality with the original steel Omega buckle in fine condition.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 562 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in May 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The Seamaster De Ville is one of our absolute favorite watches, and the unusual dial on this one makes it very special on the wrist. This is a very versatile watch that will be a perfect daily driver and will add nicely to a regular rotation schedule.
