Here is a very unusual, all original Omega Seamaster Cosmic from 1969. The two tone dial has a tonneau shaped silver sunburst dial inside a radially brushed outside dial and looks spectacular, with a steel Omega logo and faceted block hour markers with black contrast. Slight wear can be seen at the bottom edge of the dial. The steel baton hands with the original black contrast are in fine condition with a few small marks visible under close scrutiny. The window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The angular and chunky monobloc cushion shaped stainless steel case has a sunburst face with polished facets and sides and is in fine condition, with the original crown and thick, faceted integrated lugs. There is light wear on the face and a few marks on the sides, in particular the right side above the crown. The brushed case back has a well preserved hippocampus logo engraving and is in fine condition with some overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on the original brick wall bracelet, which is in fine condition with some stretching and wear marks. It is big enough for moderately large wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 565 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in April 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

This Seamaster Cosmic has a distinct look with the unusual dial and overall great condition, making it really stand out on the wrist. This is a watch that can be worn for any occasion and it is also great as a daily driver or as part of a regular rotation.
