Here is a wonderful and rare, all original Omega Seamaster Chronometer from 1973. The silver sunburst dial is in excellent condition, with a steel Omega logo and black lettering and barely any marks. It has faceted steel hour markers with black contrast, double markers at 12 o’clock. The baton hands are in fine condition with the original black contrast. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock shows the quick-set date. The date should only be quick-set with the hands at the bottom half of the dial.

The wide and imposing stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with light overall wear and one notable scuff at around 3 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and heavy lugs is in fine condition, with a polished face and brushed sides and some overall wear, mostly at the lugs. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a well preserved hippocampus logo in its center and just a few marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The original bead of rice bracelet is in very fine visual condition but shows some stretching. It is big enough for moderately large wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 1011 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in December 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

We do not come across Chronometer versions of the Seamaster that often, and this version looks fabulous on the wrist with its wide bezel and great overall condition. This is truly a watch you will love having on your wrist.
